The COVID-19 pandemic will go down in history as one of the most trying times on a national and global scale. Global Paint for Charity, Inc. has been in partnership with various other programs to respond to the tremendous needs from the crisis. As you are aware, millions of jobs have been lost, and many families and those who work in the construction industry, especially professional painters, paint contractors, artists, construction and service workers can barely make ends meet and pay rent right now; simply, they cannot absorb any incomes.

These are the families and individuals who now more than ever need the hand up that we can provide. Even in these times — especially in these times — Global Paint (GPC) puts the well-being of those families above everything else. It has been challenging to see thousands of artists, professional paints and paint contractors across the nation and around the world out of work, and difficult to know when they will wholeheartedly return to work in this crisis.

In response to this COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve launched an Emergency Response Fund to issue immediate cash assistance to local paint contractors and single families affected by this pandemic around the world.

  • More than 280 Paint Contractors and professional painters in The U.S. and 18 countries have requested our support and urgent assistance.
  • We’ve received $80,000+ in requests for support to date, with more are expected in the future.
  • We’ve already applied to several emergency grants from Home Depot, UPS, ChicFila, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, SunTrust Bank, now Truist, and United Way.

We know these needs will continue to grow. We sent our first emergency support to our local partners and goodwill ambassadors in Tampa, FL, Guyana, Honduras to purchase masks, hand sanitizers, soaps, and foods for 500 families who only have access to running water a few hours a day and no electricity.

Here are a few more examples of the grassroots responses we’re seeking to provide our assistance to until the crisis is over:

  • Support our local paint contractors, professional painters, and construction workers who are out of work and may not be able to qualify for unemployment benefits.
  • Support local Artists to create vibrant, outdoor murals and colorful Artworks that can raise awareness about the COVID-19 in urban communities.
  • Community education and door-to-door campaigns for disease prevention and to dispel myths.
  • Support local Radio programs and run social media campaigns to raise awareness and share accurate information.
  • Work with the local Community Food Bank, Rise Against Hunger, Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity and other local non-profits to provide meals to the homeless, and children.
  • Supplemental food and nutrition for families facing a loss of income
  • Provide support to our animal and pet owners in communities in need.
  • Provide hygiene supplies and personal protection equipment for children and families
  • Educate local families to wash their hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water and use hand sanitizers in their native languages.

We are really positioned to help protect lives and communities in this crisis – and our global mechanism makes it possible for us to distribute funds to help those who need the most quickly. But we need your support to meet rising needs: donate to Global Paint’s Emergency Response Fund to provide relief to families and paint contractors affected by COVID-19 in the U.S. and abroad.

Whether you’re a partner, donor, funder, or volunteer – we can do even more together. Donate now to help GPC eventually ship goods and supplies for families affected by the COVID 19 Pandemic.

Global Paint for Charity is a public non-profit 501 (c) (3) charity, and your donation is tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. 95% of donations received more than this emergency appeal will be used to support GPC’s emergency response programs and assist families affected by this catastrophic pandemic in underserved communities.

Background

Global Paint for Charity is the leader in providing high-quality paint waste disposal service since 2010, has served or mobilized more than 13  million people around the world. In the past ten years, our corporate partners, local non-profits and schools have volunteered 625000 hours. We have worked with more than 500 partners from government, corporation, community (including faith) and the private sector to successfully remove as many as 320,000 tons of discarded paints from the waste stream then shipped to 42 countries in Africa, Caribbean, Central &  South America, and targeted cities right here in the U.S. Besides,  it uses blockchain technology for its social supply chain operations (from collection, consolidation, and distribution in developing countries). With this technology, the donors and partners can track in real-time where their paint has been used and measure the direct social impacts from before and after the community is painted.

Our team has completed in “Shark  Tank,” like pitch competitions,  and collaborated with an organization such as the Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta, the Atlanta Minority Business Development Agency ( MBDA) Business & Advanced Manufacturing Centers at the Georgia Institute of Technology’s Enterprise Innovation Institute, and the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center in San-Francisco, CA to gain access to more resources and networking opportunities that can help the organization to scale. It recently named among the Best Charitable Organizations in Gwinnett County –  the highest designation given to the businesses with the most votes in their category. It won first place in the Poster Walk competition at the National MBE Manufactocturers Summit 2018 and second place at the 2019 summit. More 400 original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) corporations and MBEs voted in these competitions, which Global Paint for Charityleverraged to increase its brand visibility and find opportunities for partnerships.

From everyone on our team, we hope you and your loved ones are staying healthy and safe. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at Global Paint for Charity if you are interested in supporting our efforts.
