Delivering Hope and Color: 4,000 Gallons of Paint Arrived in Caribbean to Transform Schools in Cap-Haïtien, Haiti

In a powerful demonstration of global collaboration and purpose-driven impact, Global Paint for Charity has successfully delivered a 40-foot container carrying 4,000 gallons of latex paint to Cap-Haïtien, Haiti, the country’s second-largest city. This milestone marks a significant step toward advancing the Basic School Beautification Program, an initiative designed to restore learning environments and uplift communities by providing access to essential resources. The shipment was made possible through a meaningful partnership with BINAH Foundation, led by CEO Rachelle Simon, in collaboration with LAKOUNSA Foundation, which is providing local coordination and oversight to ensure that the donated paint is used effectively to restore schools, youth initiatives, and family homes in underserved communities.

As the container arrived on the iconic island in the Western Hemisphere, it revealed more than pallets of goods carefully packed into the 40 ft container. It carried with it a renewed sense of hope and possibility for students, teachers, and families across the region. In many of these schools, walls have long been worn, faded, and neglected due to limited resources. With this donation, classrooms will soon be refreshed with vibrant colors, creating environments that inspire learning, restore dignity, and foster a greater sense of pride among students and educators alike. A simple coat of paint can have a profound psychological and emotional impact, transforming not only physical spaces but also the energy and engagement within the students and their teachers.

This shipment is part of Global Paint for Charity’s broader commitment to support Haiti’s recovery and long-term development. To date, more than 4 containers, totaling approximately 20,000 gallons of paint, have been deployed to support disaster relief efforts, school restoration, and community rehabilitation projects across the region. These efforts reflect a scalable model that connects surplus resources in the United States with urgent needs in communities around the world. By recovering unused paint that would otherwise go to waste and redistributing it through trusted partners, Global Paint for Charity is creating a circular solution that benefits both the environment and vulnerable populations.

What makes this work truly impactful is the unwavering generosity and compassion of the American people who have supported Global Paint for Charity’s mission for over 16 years. This effort is made possible by a nationwide network of partners, volunteers, paint contractors, construction firms, major paint distributors, and community members who believe in giving resources a second life. Through paint drives and ongoing donations, they have turned what could have been waste into a powerful tool for transformation. From both a business and sustainability perspective, this level of public engagement is critical. It reduces environmental waste across the United States while creating a scalable model that repurposes surplus materials to meet real human needs.

The impact extends far beyond logistics. Every gallon collected and redistributed represents a shared commitment to responsible stewardship, community engagement, and global solidarity. In the United States, this work helps reduce landfill waste and supports environmental sustainability efforts. Abroad, it creates visible, immediate change in underserved communities. In Haiti, a country that has faced profound challenges, including political instability, natural disasters, and ongoing social and economic hardship, these efforts may not solve every issue. Still, they bring something equally important: hope. A fresh coat of paint can restore not only buildings, but also a sense of dignity, pride, and possibility for families, students, and teachers who continue to persevere through difficult circumstances.

The need continues to grow, both domestically and internationally. Across the United States, individuals and organizations are looking for meaningful ways to contribute to causes that deliver real, measurable impact. At the same time, communities around the world are seeking resources to rebuild, restore, and move forward. Global Paint for Charity stands at the intersection of these needs, creating a bridge between surplus and scarcity, between waste and opportunity.

We invite supporters, stakeholders, and partners to join us in expanding this mission. With additional paint donations and financial contributions to support logistics and shipping, we can reach more communities, restore more schools, and continue to bring color, dignity, and hope to those who need it most. We extend our sincere gratitude to Rachelle Simon, BINAH Foundation, and LAKOUNSA Foundation for their leadership and unwavering commitment to serving the people of Haiti.  None of this would be possible without the generosity, trust, and commitment of those who have supported this work over the years. Together, we are not just moving paint, we are restoring environments, uplifting communities, and helping create a world filled with color, happiness, and hope.
