12th Annual Community Beautification Project this 4th of July

You are invited to our 12th Annual Community Beautification project this 4th of July, at 3600 N Rancho Dr, Las Vegas, NV, from 9am-2 pm Pacific Time.

Each year, Global Paint for Charity partners with corporations and non-profit groups to organize this special community beautification day to ensure the community is supported and served. In the past, we painted the Caridad Apartments for homeless veterans in downtown Las Vegas, the Peachtree-Pine homeless shelter in Midtown Atlanta, The Empire Board of Realtists, Inc. building in Westside Atlanta, the Caryville Work Camp Buildings in Caryville, GA, the Nevada Homes for Youth Inc in Las Vegas, and The LGBT Center of southern Florida, to name a few.

This year, we have selected Project 150 in North Las Vegas. The organization offers numerous services for homeless, displaced, and disadvantaged youths, providing free clothing, food, hygiene products, and supplies to disadvantaged high school students in Southern Nevada. The best part of the project is the students and recipients designed the mural at the Project 150 building, which will be painted on July 4th, from 9 am-2 pm!

Big thanks to Sherwin-Williams for their generous donation of paint and supplies!!! We at the GPC are grateful for your partnership.

Global Paint for Charity Inc. (AKA “GPC” or “Global Paint”) is a non-governmental organization that collects discarded Latex paint from businesses, residents, and manufacturers that would otherwise end up in the waste stream. Instead, we provide the products to needy charities and vulnerable individuals in developing countries around the world and target domestic communities in the United States. Through our Paint Project & Beautification Programs, we have worked with local youth, community groups, and volunteers from many corporations to paint for elderly seniors and widows, veterans, and the homeless in neglected areas within our local communities. At Global Paint for Charity, we believe a coating of paint on the walls can have a significant, positive, and powerful impact on people’s lives for many years.

We can only do important work like this with your support. Earth Day is an annual event celebrated worldwide in April to demonstrate support for environmental protection. First celebrated in 1970 and included events coordinated globally by the Earth Day Network in more than 193 countries. It may be hard to imagine that before 1970, a factory could spew black clouds of toxic smoke into the air or dump tons of hazardous and toxic waste into landfills, which was perfectly legal. There was no Clean Air Act, no U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), no Clean Water Act, and most importantly, no legal or regulatory guidelines or tools to protect our environment. They could not be taken to court to stop illegal dumping.

Recycling is good for the earth, so in honor of the 2023 Earth Day event, Global Paint and Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful encourages you to protect our planet and not abuse it. ABOUT US

Global Paint for Charity Inc. (AKA “GPC” or “Global Paint”) is the first sustainable paint waste management and the largest exporter and provider of Latex paint to millions of people in 45 countries in Africa, the Caribbean, Asia, Latin America, as well as nationally underserved communities right here in the United States. Global Paint for Charity helps ecosystems by recycling latex paint products from businesses, residents, and manufacturers that would otherwise end up in the waste stream. The organization brings hope, joy, color, and beauty to communities ravaged by disaster, extreme poverty, or otherwise lack resources. We are leading the way. Global Paint for Charity’s work recycles those leftover paints to beautify the world and transforms people’s lives. We believe a coating of paint on the walls can have a significant, positive, and powerful impact on people’s lives for many years to come.

Under the Environmental Protection Act, it is now illegal to dispose of paints in landfills. In contrast, more than 2.5 billion families have never had access to a painted house in developing countries. In addition, it is estimated that 80 % of the world´s schools in third-world countries face a dreary reality or unpainted walls due to a lack of paint access.

Only 7% of leftover paint in the U.S. is currently recycled. Over 150 million gallons of paint end up as waste every year, and it only takes one gallon to pollute up to 250,000 gallons of drinking water. Global Paint was created to change that. We are an organization working toward sustainable solutions to paint waste.

Earth Day is an annual event celebrated around the world in April to demonstrate support for environmental protection. First celebrated in 1970, it now includes events coordinated globally by the Earth Day Network in more than 193 countries. It may be hard to imagine that before 1970, a factory could spew black clouds of toxic smoke into the air or dump tons of hazardous and toxic waste into landfills, and that was perfectly legal. There was no Clean Air Act, no U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), no Clean Water Act, and most importantly, there were no legal or regulatory guidelines and tools to protect our environment. They could not be taken to court to stop illegal dumping.

Recycling is good for the earth, so in honor of the 2021 Earth Day event, Global Paint and Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful encourage you to protect our planet and not abuse it. Please check our TAKE ACTION page for information about organizing a Paint Drive in your community, or to learn more, visit www.globalpaints.org -TAKE ACTION!!

Volunteer opportunities: Registration is encouraged.

If you are looking for some community service hours or an exciting activity to make a difference on Earth Day this year, this is the place to be!! While the event will be from 9 am-noon, volunteers are needed from 7:30 am to 1 pm to help set-up and unload the vehicles and from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm to help unload the paint donation at Global Paint’s Center. If you arrive later than 8 am, you will not be able to volunteer, so if you want to help with this opportunity, please arrive early. The minimum commitment is 5 hours, and all volunteers will receive a free Earth Day T-shirt, PPE, masks, gloves, and a safety vest.
