Coloring the World with Happiness, Hope, Love and Peace

Mark your Calendar for Our 12th Annual America Recycles Day Celebration (ARD)

Join the Global Paint for Charity at Gwinnett County Fairgrounds Parking Lot on Saturday, November 4th, celebrating our 12th annual America Recycles Day (ARD) at 2405 Sugarloaf Pkwy, Lawrenceville, GA 30045.
Gwinnett County residents will have the opportunity to drop off items that are typically more difficult to recycle, such as electronics, latex, oil-based paint, and tires. It is one of the most significant recycling events and the first national initiative to keep our County beautiful and sustainable. Consistently attracting 3,000-5,000 attendees and partner organizations. We expect to recycle over 6,000 gallons of paint in just three hours during the event.
Have you done any renovations to your home recently? Do you have leftover or unused paints from your projects that you can’t get rid of? Well, we have some good news for you. Celebrate 2023 America Recycles Day by bringing your leftover paint for proper disposal while supporting our free paint donation programs worldwide. Donate your leftover paints and help us change lives and beautify the world, one gallon at a time.
Here are some essential things to remember before you come:
· Oil-based and Latex paint will be accepted and limited to 10 gallons per vehicle (full or empty cans and buckets are acceptable).
· Please ensure the lid of the containers is tightly sealed (buckets and cans).
· Electronics (monitor, TV, and printer)
· Paper (shredding up to 5 copier boxes)
· Tires are limited to eight tires per vehicle: no dealer tires.
General Precautions:
· All attendees should always remain in their vehicles.
· Items and materials to be recycled should be placed in disposable containers or boxes.
· Containers (Buckets or Cans of paint) or packs of quarts should be placed on the trunks or backs of vehicles, where they will be removed by Global Paint representatives and not returned.
This level of preparedness and awareness will enable a safe and successful event for everyone. For more information, please call the Solid Waste Call Center at 770.822.7141 or Global Paint for Charity at 855-853-7772.
Since 1997, waste management agencies and communities have come together in November to celebrate America Recycles Day. One day, we will get our neighbors, friends, and community leaders excited about what can be accomplished when we all work together to keep our planet clean and beautiful. One event to make recycling a more unique and eco-friendly day than any other day of the year.

Volunteer opportunities: Registration is encouraged.

If you are looking for community service hours or an exciting activity to make a difference for America Recycles Day this year, this will be the place to be. This event best suits families and groups of 1-20 people ages 14 and up.
While the event will be from 9 a.m. to noon, volunteers are needed from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. to help direct traffic, unload vehicles, break down boxes, and more. If you arrive later than 8 a.m., you cannot volunteer, so please arrive early if you want to help with this opportunity.

The minimum commitment is 5 hours, and please plan to wear closed-toe shoes and dress appropriately for the weather. All volunteers will receive a complimentary America Recycles Day T-shirt, PPE, masks, gloves, and a safety vest while supplies last.
