Winning This Award Is About More Than Just $25,000
This competition isn’t just about the prize money or recognition, it’s about continuing a mission that has transformed lives across the globe. Rony Delgarde has dedicated over 15 years of his professional journey to solving one of the biggest environmental waste issues in the world: the leftover paint problem in the United States. Every year, millions of gallons of usable paint end up in landfills, creating harmful environmental consequences. Through Global Paint for Charity, these materials are instead repurposed and given a second life, bringing color, dignity, hope, and opportunity to people who need it most.

Communities across Africa, the Caribbean, South and Central America, and beyond have benefited from freshly painted classrooms, hospitals, playgrounds, and homes, thanks to generous donations from top paint brands like Sherwin Williams, Benjamin Moore, PPG, and Behr Paint. This award is not just about recognizing Rony Delgarde, it’s about supporting:

Homeowners and businesses who now have sustainable solutions for disposing of their leftover paint and discontinued paint products.
Millions of families and schools who receive free paint to restore and beautify their communities.
A more sustainable world, where waste is reduced, resources are repurposed, and communities are revitalized.
