Sending a request to receive paint donations from Global Paint for Charity is easy. We work together with businesses, households and paint manufacturers in a collective effort to recycle post-consumer paint of top brands include Benjamin Moore, PPG, Valspar, Sherwin Williams, Glidden, Rodda, Miller, Behr, ACE, and a few more to assist your housing rehabilitation projects in poor communities including renovation at schools and libraries, orphanages, refugee camps, churches and health centers all over the world. The donated paints is sorted by type, color and characteristic (Exterior/Interior, full and half-full cans, etc.) then is consolidate and processed for shipping by GPC volunteers.
Global Paint for Charity ships 40-foot and 20-foot sea containers of paint. A 40-foot container holds approximately 5000-6000 cans of paint or 864 buckets of paint or 18 tots of 275 gallons of each. A 20-foot container holds approximately 2000-2500 gallons of post-consumable and new paint or 420 buckets of paint. Global Paint for Charity is working to also offer paint supplies and building materials, which can be donated for a small donation.
Global Paint for Charity has local ambassadors and Program Directors with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) experience in Central America, Africa and Caribbean that have the ability to help clear a container at port and distribute the paint in the recipient country. Past recipient organizations include local schools, universities, churches, health organizations. GPC paints typically are delivered to local schools, mission groups and community leaders in the third world countries.

Once you have completed our Donee Request Form and submitted it, your status will be checked and upon approval you will receive a phone call, normally within 48 hours. GPC adopts a first come, first serve arrangement with respect to everyone.
We can make any color combinations. So if you want a specific color please email us.
We are currently allowing your organization up to a certain quantity at a time. These quantities may change at any time due to our current requests or available colors in our inventory but special arrangements can be made for unique cases.

Please explain what these paints will be used for and how they will help you achieve your goals or mission. Then you will need to write a report about your program (give us as much detail as possible about the population and location where you will serve). Take photo or video of the area to support your application including a descriptive about your organization success so we can easily find the need for your submission. Finally, send us everything and a Global Paint volunteer will contact you. Note: all images must be in .gif, .jpg or jpeg formats. Videos must be in .mpg, .mpeg,.wmv, or 3gp formats. Combined file size limit: 80MB. Each file size should be larger than 2KB.
To be eligible for the FREE PAINT FOR CHARITY program, organizations must: Understand that our paint donation is not to be used for fundraisers or auctions; given to volunteers or staff members, and may not be sold in any manner in developing countries. Your organization must also hold a current 501 (c)(3)status, as determined by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service; must be registered and incorporated within the United States of America and Acknowledge and agree to the application’s required certifications regarding nondiscrimination and donation receipt and use; copies of IRS letters are not sufficient for this requirement. Please note that this update can take some time after an organization receives IRS notification of its 501(c)(3) determination.
We only allow one request at a time per organization. However, branches of umbrella organizations that share Employee Identification Numbers (EINs) with their parent organizations are eligible for individual requests. Branches must indicate that they are applying as a “related organization” during the application process and go through additional screening.
Please note that the following organizations are not eligible for FREE PAINT FOR CHARITY: Local Governmental Entities and Organizations; Private Schools and Universities (philanthropic arms of educational organizations and churches are eligible).
Global Paint for Charity reserves the right to grant or deny an organization’s application or participation at any time, for any reason, and to supplement or amend these eligibility guidelines at any time. Selections are made by GPC’s Board of Directors, and are not subject to external review. Please we’ve been doing the best we could to help numerous interesting groups and NGO’s for many paint projects, however, this policy is strictly enforced and any violation will result a delay on your request.
